Steve Kardian, pictured her in the late 90's at the Gracie Academy in Torrance, California. At the Steve Kardian was a Assistant Instructor and one of the original members the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Instructor program. Steve and his partners took their training from California and established of the first east coast Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academies on the east coast according to Rorion Gracie. Steve Kardian continues to teach Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Combat Submission Wrestling, under Erik Paulson, across the Country. Steve is a 3rd degree Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Phil Migliarese of Balance Studio's. Phil is Relson Gracie's #1 American Black Belt.
